How it Works
What if the secret to lottery patterns isn't which numbers appear, but how they're spaced apart? Delta Patterns (based on the Delta System) analyzes the gaps between consecutive numbers in winning draws, revealing the hidden "texture" of successful combinations.
The Positional Probability Model
Sum of how often number n appeared in each sorted position, divided by total draws analyzed.
The Delta System examines the structural patterns of lottery draws by looking at which numbers tend to appear in specific positions when sorted.
How it works:
1. Take historical draws and sort each one (e.g., [3, 12, 27, 38, 45]) 2. Track position frequencies: "Number 3 appeared in Position 1 in 15% of draws" 3. Calculate deltas (gaps): Position 2 minus Position 1, etc. 4. Score numbers based on their positional probability
Real insight:
Most winning combinations have a specific "spread" pattern—they're neither too clustered nor too sparse. Numbers that fit this natural spread score higher.

What this strategy actually describes
Delta analysis measures the gaps between adjacent numbers when a five-pick EuroMillions line is arranged in ascending order. These inter-number distances reveal how tightly or loosely the picks are spread across the 1-50 main pool, and a companion delta check applies to the two Lucky Stars across the much smaller 1-12 range.
Applying it to this game
Apply it on EuroMillions by sorting your main-number selection and reading the four gaps between adjacent picks. A structurally varied line avoids having all four gaps very small, which signals tight clustering, or one gap dominating at the expense of all others. The Lucky Star delta adds a lighter check across the two-value 1-12 selection.
A worked ticket structure
A worked EuroMillions line: arrange five main picks so the four internal gaps each fall between 4 and 15. If a gap exceeds 18, swap in a different candidate to fill the space. For Lucky Stars, aim for picks that are at least 4 apart within 1-12, so they sit in different quadrants of the supplementary pool.
Risk profile
Moderate structural utility, minimal predictive value: delta analysis exposes bunched patterns that appear rarely in historical EuroMillions draws, giving you a useful filter for avoiding weak ticket structures, but gap information does not tell you which gaps will appear in the next result.
What not to use it for
Do not apply delta analysis to predict which gap sizes will recur, or to dismiss tickets whose gaps fall outside historical norms — unusual gap patterns do appear in EuroMillions draws and are just as valid as textbook-spread combinations.
A responsible note
Delta analysis describes interval spacing in a candidate ticket. No strategy guarantees winning or improves the mathematical odds of a EuroMillions draw.
