Eurojackpot Euro Numbers: The Most Frequent Stars Since 2022

When playing the Eurojackpot, most players obsess over the 5 main numbers. They analyze birthdays, patterns, and lucky digits. But they often forget the most critical part of the ticket: The Euro Numbers (often called "Star Numbers").

These two golden balls (ranged 1 to 12) make the difference between a lower prize tier (5+0 match) and the jackpot tier (5+2 match). Prize amounts vary from draw to draw.

We counted every Eurojackpot draw in our dataset — 478 draws from 7 January 2022 to 11 September 2026 — to see which Euro Numbers have come up most often. No number "dominates the machine": every draw is random, and these are simply the counts so far.

The Most Frequent Stars in Our Dataset

The differences are small and they move as draws are added; none of this makes any star a safer bet. The counts as of 11 September 2026:

The Top 3 Most Drawn Stars:

1. Star 5: drawn in 96 of 478 draws (20.1%).
2. Star 3: 93 draws (19.5%).
3. Star 12: 84 draws (17.6%) — although it has only existed since the March 2022 rule change. Star 8, called "the king" in an earlier version of this article, is eleventh of twelve in our dataset (70 draws, 14.6%).

The "Data Drift" Warning (Important!)

Before you rush to pick these numbers, you need to understand a critical piece of lottery history.

The Rule Change of 2022:
Before March 2022, there were only 10 Star Numbers. The numbers 11 and 12 were added later.

What this means for statistics:
Our dataset starts in January 2022, so it includes 11 draws under the old 10-star rule; 11 and 12 have had 467 draws to appear in, not 478.

The Smart Player's Adjustment:
Frequency statistics on this site are plain counts over this same dataset (January 2022 onwards); they are not adjusted for the 11 draws in which 11 and 12 could not appear, so treat their counts as slightly understated.

Pair Strategy: Which Stars Go Together?

Picking Stars isn't just about individual strength; it's about the pair.
In our dataset no pair stands out beyond what random draws produce.

• Most frequent pairs so far: 2 & 6, 6 & 12, 7 & 8 and 1 & 5, each drawn 12 times in 478 draws. 3 & 8, the "Golden Duo" of the earlier version, has come up 4 times.
• High/Low Balance: one "Low Star" (1-6) with one "High Star" (7-12) is the most common pattern — as combinatorics predicts, since 36 of the 66 possible pairs are mixed.

How to Apply This in EuroLotto Predictor

2. Enable the "All-Time Champions" strategy (set weight to 15%).
3. Enable "Winning Pairs" (set weight to 10%).

This configuration tells our engine: "Weight the most frequent stars in the dataset (like 5 and 3) and the most frequent pairs." It changes which stars you play, not the odds of any of them.
